About Gavin Cook:
Accounts, DNA Accountants
WHAT IS MY BACKGROUND?
On leaving school I started working at the Bank of England and remained there for the next 32 years before taking early retirement.
During my time at the Bank I spent about 10 years in Internal Audit and another 5 years producing the Bank's own annual accounts.
Although I have no formal accountancy qualifications, my time in Internal Audit gave me a taste for accounts and so when I retired I was fortunate to join DNA Accountants.
FASCINATING FACTS ABOUT ME.
Having played rugby in my youth I still enjoy watching the game and have a season ticket for London Irish at the Madejski Stadium in Reading – not that I am a real supporter of London Irish but it is a way of seeing all the teams in the Premiuership!
I enjoy vegetable gardening but, not having a big enough garden at home, I have an allotment – which takes a lot of my spare time!
I enjoy stamp collecting – having taken over a collection started by my father which now contains about 15,000 stamps!
